Last Sunday we had a birthday brunch at my house for my good friend Marybeth. It was a splendid time and I am convinced that brunches are the way to go. You see, I am getting old, and when we have parties that go all night, I can't hang. I end up crawling up to bed and passing out. Pathetic I know. But, the wonderful thing about brunch parties is that you start earlier in the afternoon and then you are in bed at a reasonable hour. Whoop to brunch Sunday. Who is ready for another? Let me recap through pictures.
Quiche, donuts, champagne and Marybeth. Four of my favorite things (thought you would like that Mary)!
I made these cute cupcakes, which nobody ate. I think that is my last and final sign that I CAN'T COOK OR BAKE! I am not bitter or anything. =) But I must confess…they really did taste like donkey ass. I accidentally bought sugar-free icing, so what can you expect? They sure looked cute to me.
I had my photography class the following day, in which my portfolio was due. My wonderful friends were generous and allowed me to take a few portraits of them during the party. This is what happens when I drink to many mimosas (I get out of control with the camera). Little did they know that I would be posting the pictures on my blog too. Come on guys, I couldn’t keep these wonderful pictures stored away on my computer for no one to see. Nobody puts Baby in the corner!
