Leah & David's Ceremony

My sister had her pre-Mexico ceremony on Saturday. It was a small, quaint wedding in Rosebud, Texas. They decided to have the ceremony in the exact church where the grooms' parents wed many years ago. It was absolutely beautiful and the chemistry behind the church made it that much more special. Congratulations to David and Leah!

My sister had her pre-Mexico ceremony on Saturday. It was a small, quaint wedding in Rosebud, Texas. One Year Anniversary

Jonathan and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary not too long ago. I can't believe it has been a year since we said “I do” in a church that was hotter than hell...really it was. That's a whole other story in and of itself so I will save it for a later date. Back to our one year anniversary trip, it was absolutely perfect. Jonathan did a wonderful job planning a weekend that I will remember forever.

Friday night we spent on the river walk in San Antonio. We got a wild hair and decided to check out a local piano bar and had a crazy fun time.

Saturday morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast at the hotel, then we were off to Schlitterban. Dude, I have never seen so large and in charge people in my life. I was feeling a little self cautious about walking around in a swimsuit all day, but once I saw millions of big mama's strutting their stuff I had no shame letting a bum cheek fall out from time to time.

Spent the night in New Braunfels Saturday and were off to Austin early Sunday morning. We had a fabulous time relaxing by the pool. The only problem, it started to pour on our pool side party. But it was cool, I had fun by myself...in the rain

After a lovely day at the pool, Jonathan treated me to a fancy meal at Vito's. After dinner we went back to the hotel to enjoy our traditional one year anniversary cake. It was darn good, especially considering that it sat in my parents freezer for a year. I promise, it was much prettier on the day of our wedding.

A couple of nights ago my husband and I were getting ready for bed when I noticed my dog looked cold and lonely sitting beside the bed. I scooped her up and snuggled her between us. As I was loving on her, Jonathan looked at me and said, "Are you happy your dog is in the rat family? Because there is no way she is in the canine family with that funky face." Personally, I think this rat belongs in the adorable family.
