Getting A Little Too Excited

Jonathan and I were lying in bed Sunday morning reading our baby books when we realized that we were behind schedule according to the crazy, obsessive compulsive / living in perfect world standards. In other words we began spazzing out over the fact that we have yet to plan or buy anything for the baby. Well I take that back, I have bought a few outfits here and there, but no big purchases for the nursery. We laid in bed surfing the pottery barn website the entire morning and finally decided on a nursery set.

And then it happened. I ran across this delightful bassinet that I knew I must have.







I knew I didn't need it, but I wanted it badly! It's everything I ever wanted my new baby to sleep in during the early stages of its life. Long story short, I found the exact same bassinet on Craigslist for half the price. Score! I knew it was my lucky day! We all know how much I love to bargain shop. And seriously, is there a better feeling that buying a fabulous item, at a remarkable price? Nope, didn't think so.



This may sound crazy, but have you ever had a feeling that you could be friends with someone that you don't even know? Call me crazy, but I totally felt this way about the lady I purchased this item from. Not only do we have the same taste in decorative items, we also the same taste in clothes. She obviously knew I was pregnant so she decided to be a sweetheart and throw in a few maternity clothes too. Oh yeah, she also gave me this anti-stretch mark cream too...for free! I also I lucked out because she (the previous owner) had both a boy and a girl, therefore she gave me the pink and blue bedding to prepare for out little Tator Tot. Exciting, no?





I know you are thinking, gross why would I use a strangers bedding? But I swear everything looks perfectly new with no icky stains or raunchy smells!



It makes me happy to know that there are good people out there who take good care of there belongings and are nice enough to sell it to poor people like us. =)



I highly recommend Craiglist to anyone and everyone after this wonderful experience.

Of course I had to rush home and try everything out...
