Cole loves going over to Katelyn's house for playdates. He enjoys playing outside, and since we don't have a backyard, it works out great letting the kiddos run around and have a grand ol' time. Wait I take it back, we do have a "yard" but it's no bigger that the bathtub pictured below!

When they got done swimming the other day, we tossed the duo in the tub for a scrub down. I can't wait to show this picture to them in about 18 years.

One of my best friends, Elizabeth (aka Boogie), came into town a while back and was sweet enough to snap a few pictures. She is an awesome photographer, wouldn't you say? We so would be in business together if she would move back to Houston (hint, hint). She lives in Oklahoma, and I miss her dearly. For those that don't know our story, we met our first year out of high school and have been the bestest of friends ever since. We lived together in College Station, which was bad news bears. Well, let's just say that we had a blast living together ... and the grades we made that year definitely reflected the amount of fun we had together. Awww the good ol' days, love you Boogs!

I'd Be Lost Without Her

You guys say that I have been MIA as of late, but without my Mom's help, not only would I be MIA, I would probably be in a mental institution. I'm not going to lie, it's tough. I'm trying my hardest to take deep breaths and remind myself  how lucky I am. Like I said, it's rough right now, but I love every second of each crazy day. I know one day I'll look back and miss this time with my loves. Again, I'm sorry for not returning calls, emails like I should but I'm still adjusting to the new normal. I promise, the old Lane will be back again soon. Lets hope sooner than later. Thanks for everyone's support, I love you guys. A special thank you to my dear mother. You're a blessing and I'm so, so, very grateful that you are willing to help me out, even when you are just as exhausted as I. Thanks Mom, I love you!

I guess that's a weird wording for the title. She is not literally my oldest friend, like in age, she is actually one year younger than me. What I mean is that she is one of my long time friends (2nd grade, right Ali)? Anyways, that's her on the right, she's beautiful wouldn't you say. Anyways, I almost forgot that this is just supposed to be a picture with no words day, yikes blabber mouth. Happy engagement to my dear friend! I'm so happy for you, as we have talked about your big day for about ohhh just 15 years or so! Let me know if you need any help planning.

p.s.s. Just a suggestion ... I looked it up, St. Mary's is only 5 minutes from St. Joseph and you have to admit it's the prettiest church in America. No pressure, but I thought I would throw that out there. And maybe the AC would actually work in October. Grrrr that still pisses me off! Nothing worse than sweat dripping down your legs on your wedding day!

Maternity Session : Ashley Moses

I know, I'm overdue on posting pictures from my latest photo shoots, but I couldn't help myself from posting pictures of this doll. I was sorting through the pictures that I took yesterday of my dear friend, Ashley, and realized the abundant amount of images that I love. I can’t hold back any longer, I must share. Also, I know her sister is one of my readers and I thought she might appreciate seeing her sister's belly shots. You're welcome Amber! If I have taken your pictures recently (more like in the past two months) and have yet to post your pictures on my blog, it's not because I don't love you, I swear. It's because I'm straight up lazy and to be quite honest, it's easy for me to let my bestest of friends cut in line sometimes.

Did I mention how much I love taking pictures of friends? I can let loose and be my bossy self and not feel guilty or rude, because they know that is just me, being me. Thanks for making the day so fun Ash. It's refreshing to get out without Cole and explore around Houston in great company! I hope you like the pictures as much as I do. It must have been our lucky day to find this purple door that matched her shirt perfectly. I asked Ash to hop inside the door to give the peeping out effect. The second she pushed on the door she squealed like a piglet in heat; there was a dead hawk right behind the door. Oh the sacrifices we must take to get a decent shot. Now sit there, smile, look pretty and forget about the stinky, 90 year old, mildewing bird that's less than a foot away from your back.

Making It A Tradition ... Christmas In Pictures

Decided to take a belly shot before we left for church, just because I was finally up and dressed for once this entire pregnancy, not really, but really though! We went to mass at the Harris' church and then to their house to spend X-Mas Eve with the fam. We all had a great time.
